Warm reception for the Peace Memorial - A group of spry pensioners from the Bergstraße district, with organiser Willi Lerchl at its center, visited the Jerusalem Friedensmal in Hochstädten. Willi Lerchl elaborated on his group’s activities: “Statistically speaking, only a few of us will become centenarians. That inspired us to use the time we have left." On October 21, 2012 at 3:00 pm the Jerusalem memorial stone was inaugurated as a Border Stone (on Rosh Ha-Shana in 2019 it became the Stone of Encounter) at the Friedensmal (monument) in Bensheim-Hochstädten. The First Step - Already for nine years, the Friedensmal Wendepunkt Association has been collecting money for its project of the Friedensmal (monument), a Peace Memorial, on the ridge above Bensheim-Hochstädten.
